Gaia GPS Backup and Data Safeguards

Whenever there is a major update to iOS or Gaia GPS (such as iOS7 or Gaia GPS v8), there is some chance of data loss from a local device. To avoid this, we provide multiple back-up mechanisms.

Back-up Options
To avoid data loss, please use one of the following back-up mechanisms before doing a major update of your device, or of Gaia GPS:

1. Enable syncing with gaiagps.com, and sync your data automatically, all the time. You can verify your data is successfully backed up at http://cloud.gaiagps.com
2. Do an iTunes or iCloud back-up prior to major updates, or on a regular cycle.
3. Export your data from Gaia GPS prior to an update.
