Create and Edit Waypoints

This article show how to use waypoints in the Android version of Gaia GPS. See instructions for iOS here: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/articles/216115567

1. Tap the Waypoint icon.

2. Select either Create Waypoint (to manually position it on the screen), Create Waypoint Near Me (to drop it at your current position), or Take Picture.

3. Place the waypoint by pressing and dragging on the dropped pin or manually adjust the coordinates. You can also change the name of the waypoint.

4. Tap "Save", "Cancel", or "Save and Guide" (if you would like guidance directly to your new waypoint).

Once a waypoint is saved, it will show up in your Saved Waypoints list.

Edit a Saved Waypoint

Find the waypoint on the map or from your Saved List.

1. Edit the name
2. File in a folder
3. Add notes
4. Add a picture
5. Move the waypoint
