1. Menu - saved data, settings & account info, and more
2. Search - accepts location names and coordinates
3. Crosshairs - locates you on the map
4. Waypoint - contains menu options to create waypoints and routes
5. Layers - map sources list, overlays, and the download maps function
6. The tab at the bottom of the screen houses the visible stats
For newbies, it would be even more clear if you numbered the arrows to correspond to the numbered explanations.
just follow the numbers with the arrows left to right and then the bottom arrow for 6
